Once every three days or less is preferable. Just think about it – every night you put your face on that pillow, your are rubbing the dirt and oils from your face onto your pillow, and then back onto your face – gross! So wash, or change your pillow cases every couple of days and your bedding at least once a week…and wash your clothes frequently too – your friends will thank you.

Fourth, use a facial cleanser throughout the day. Use a mild, oil-free, and water soluble cleanser to keep you face clean and fresh. This may be a pain, but you can get a small bottle (like a travel size) to keep you cleanser in and a zip-lock bag to keep your disposable applicators in. If you wear make-up, remove it when you don’t really need – like when you get home. Make-up can clog the pores and lead to acne.
